Elk Hunting

Cottrell Hunting Ranch offers premier Roosevelt Elk hunting in Northern
California. Through our PLM program we are issued bull and cow elk tags
each season. Our hunts are done in mid September during the rut when the
bulls challenge each other for dominance. These are fully guided 1×1 all
inclusive hunts on private land. Nothing compares to the majestic beauty
of a Roosevelt Elk and the meat is among the healthiest and tastiest of
any wild game. Our average score on the bull elk is 327 SCI since 2016.
In addition, our Roosevelt Elk population has been increasing steadily
since 2010.
